GET FRESH GET FIT

Did you know that all it takes to create a lifestyle change or healthy habit is a 21 day commitment? It has been said that after 21 days of repeat performance, a new activity can become ingrained into your daily routine.

21 days.

To make it even more attainable, it is actually just a portion of these 21 days when you factor in work and sleep. Think of your meals and workouts as 30-60 minute segments within each day and it becomes even easier. You may not be able to wrap your head around the next 21 days, but you can make good choices for the next 30 minutes. Or workout for 30-60.

Three weeks to change your life.

You can do it in 3 simple steps.

STEP 1: Set a goal. I would steer clear of goals like "lose 10 lbs." and reformulate it into "workout 30 min 5 days a week," or "complete reindeer run 5k in December." If you do the latter consistently for 21 days you will lose 10 lbs. (if you eat right too!). Tie the goal into a combination of eating and exercising as it will yield bigger results.

STEP 2: Write it down and tell everyone you know. When I swam 34 miles I told everyone I met for 5 months that I was going to swim 32 miles on March 31st 2007. The daily affirmation kept me focus and allowed me to get through difficult workouts when I was swimming many hours by myself. (I sound like Stuart Smalley from SNL)

STEP 3: Rinse...repeat.

To eat better visit us at either of the FRESH SALADS + WRAPS locations. All our salads have low fat dressings and are a great balanced meal.

Email this on and spread the good helath.
